In recent years, EU member states have adopted a significant target of reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by 2020.

Starting in September 2015, all heat pumps with ratings below 400 kW must comply with the minimum seasonal efficiency requirements (SCOP) established by Regulations 813/2013 and 811/2013 to be placed on the European market.
Starting in January 2018, it will be the turn of high-power reversible chillers and heat pumps to comply with the requirements of Regulation 2016/2281.
This regulation marks a significant step and requires compliance with specific minimum Seasonal Efficiency Ratio (SEER) values, which are achievable only through precise design, expert component selection, and advanced energy-saving control logic.
The demand for higher-performance, lower-consumption products is also accompanied by a rapid decline in the use of high-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants in favor of new, environmentally friendly refrigerants or those with a GWP of 0, as required by the F-gas Directive.
