DESCRIPTION

HygroMatik DDS Pressurized Steam System.

The DDS pressurized steam system from HygroMatik connects to an existing steam network and enables the use of pressurized steam for air humidification, reducing energy costs. The DDS system uses saturated, non-condensing steam for humidification. It allows for the implementation of minimally sized humidification runs, taking up minimal space, such as in laboratories, cleanrooms, hospitals, and pharmaceutical, chemical, and food processing facilities.

For most applications, the HygroMatik DDS C version (alloy steel and gray cast iron) allows for optimal integration into a complete system. When increased hygiene requirements are required, the HygroMatik DDS A (100% alloy steel) is used. In this compact 4-in-1 system, all steam-conducting components are made of 1.4401 alloy steel, meeting the most stringent corrosion resistance requirements for clean steam applications.

Depending on the project parameters, the DDS is individually configured and assembled. Its compact size and low weight make installation quick and easy, even in awkward locations.

Replaceable strainer.
A strainer made of high-quality alloy steel protects the control valve and condensate drain from contaminants in the steam network. A fine-mesh filter located inside is easy to clean or replace as needed.

High-performance steam dehumidifier.
The alloy steel dehumidifier separates condensate from steam using spiral guides.

Reliable start-up safety device.
The start-up safety device allows humidification to start only when a certain operating temperature is reached. This ensures reliable protection against condensate from the steam network entering the air handling duct.

Efficient steam trap.
A reliable, hermetically sealed steam trap with a spherical float ensures the drainage of generated condensate. It features high response speed and performance, ensuring the drainage of large quantities of condensate, such as during system startup. Furthermore, the system is closed, eliminating steam loss.

Optimal steam flow control.
An industrial network-compatible servo drive ensures optimal automatic control thanks to direct connection without an adapter. A dedicated HygroMatik control valve controls the steam quantity using an equal-percentage characteristic. This ensures high precision in the low control range and rapid adjustment to high moisture demand in the high control range.
