DXE is a unique heating concept for poultry houses as it combines the benefits of a closed combustion circuit with the advantage of having the heater installed outside the house.

Indirect Fire

DXE is an indirect-fired heater (80 kW) with a closed combustion system. This means flue gases remain outside the house, eliminating the need to extract CO2 and water vapor from within. Ventilation volumes are significantly reduced, eliminating the need to heat large volumes of cold outside air, resulting in reduced gas consumption: energy savings of up to 25% are possible.

Humidity levels are significantly reduced compared to a direct heat source. This reduces the incidence of moisture-related diseases, such as Podo, due to drier litter. Bird morbidity and mortality are reduced, and yield per harvest is increased.

Biosecurity

The DXE heater is easily accessible for maintenance during the harvest cycle, as it is mounted outside the shed. This reduces the risk of infection, making biosecurity even more important for the breeder. Removing or lifting the heaters for cleaning is not required, as the heaters are mounted on the side wall of the shed.
